Grandma and Grandpa

Thank you Tim and Esther for all your help the last few days. You all made our transition home much easier! We love you!

Anna's First New Year's Eve

Today was our first trip out. We went to the doctor for Anna. He said everything looked great. Praise God for our healthy daughter! Then tonight we celebrated New Year's Eve with Fran, Justin, Jack, and Jake. Anna slept the entire time, but Jack and Jake kept saying "baby". Maybe she will have a boyfriend in a few years! This afternoon, Rhonda came over to take pictures of Anna. Anna has had a big day!

Here are a few of the pictures Rhonda took this afternnon. Thank you Rhonda!

Ma, thanks for Anna's beautiful dress and bonnet.

Our First Full Day Home

Last night, we had trouble gettting Anna to sleep on her own. I know that it was difficult for her because she had been in my womb for nine months, then held for two days straight at the hospital. When we got home yesterday, we tried putting her down for a nap and she would not stay asleep. That was the case most of the night last night as well. She would not stay asleep without being held. About 3:00 am this morning, Esther gave me a break and took Anna for a while. She put her in her boppy and Anna slept for almost two hours straight. Then I fed her and put her right back in her boppy and she slept for three more hours. I am so thankful Esther thought of the boppy. Today has been much better. We have figured out what Anna likes and she has taken her naps today in her boppy by herself. Hopefully tonight will be much better than last night.

Anna laying in her boppy. Thank you Esther for thinking of this!

Anna's first bath...she cried some, but she did great!

Thanks Abbie and Annie for Anna's new seat. She loved sitting in it this morning. She just looked around at her surroundings.

Ma and Aunt Janet drove to Knoxville to see Anna today. Anna loved seeing them both.

Our Beautiful Baby Girl

Here are a few pictures of Anna...

Anna and all her guests

Thanks to Fran, everyone has been able to see Anna from the day she was born. Joe, Anna, and I were able to come home today and we are so thankful. God has blessed us with a healthy baby girl! Anna is our special gift from God and we feel truly blessed to be her parents. Motherhood is absolutely wonderful. Words cannot describe how much fun and challenging the last two days have been. We are also thankful for our wonderful nurses and Dr. Vick at St. Mary's. Our nurse on Thursday (Pam) during my labor was awesome and she helped the day go very smoothly. Anna is doing great and is happy to be home. Yesterday she lost some weight during the day because she wanted to sleep more than eat. Last night though, she really caught on to nursing and gained all her weight back. The pediatrician said she looked great this morning and gave us the OK to go home earlier than we expected. Here are pictures of Anna and all of her guests the last two days.

Anna-1 Day Old

Everyone is doing GREAT! They all sound rested and like they are "old pros". Anna has soo much hair! She really enjoyed sleeping today. :) Anna is a little bit of a spitter, so pray that God will help Sara and Anna stay calm. Sara knows how to care for a spitter~jake~. :) They will be at the hospital until Sunday. Sara should be back in the blogging business tomorrow, but if not, I'll hack into her account again to give you an update! P.S I changed her settings for all you anonymous comment people (Dee/Grammy). Love, *proud* Aunt Fran

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad! I don't think you and Anna will share the same birthday, but they will be close. I went to the doctor today and he still thinks she will come on the 27th. We will go to the hospital at midnight on the 27th and they will induce me. We can't wait for Anna to get here! Dad, I hope you have a great day!

Jack and Jake loving Anna

This is an older picture. I came over the day before Thanksgiving to tell Fran, Jack, and Jake good-bye. Jack and Jake love to lift up my shirt and say "baby". They hug and kiss Anna all the time. I can't wait for them to meet her!

Youth Leaders' Christmas Party

We went to Mark & Carrie's house Saturday night for a youth leaders' Christmas party. It was so much fun! Thanks Mark and Carrie for the great food and fellowship!

Here is my precious baby. We can't wait for her to get here! Only 12 more days.

Grunt Work

Last night, Justin and Chastin came over to help move our old (very heavy) TV upstairs to our bonus room. I felt like Fran taking these pictures because she always gets good action shots. Even though the TV was heavy, I think the guys were having fun. It was scary for mom and I to watch. My dad is not in the picture, but he is helping too!

Thank you Mom and Dad for our new TV! We love it! We are excited about watching the Wildcats on it today as they beat Indiana!

Joe's 27th birthday

We celebrated Joe's 27th birthday Monday with Fran and Justin at Ye Old Steakhouse. Then we went back to their house to eat Joe's favorite cake (yellow with chocolate icing).

This is my stomach at 35 weeks. It is much bigger than it use to be.

I went to the doctor today and Dr. Vic thinks Anna weighs a little over 5 lbs. He doesn't think I will go before December 27. That means Anna will be here no later than 4 weeks today!
