Fun with Nana and Poppy

Nana and Poppy came to visit this weekend. They still don't have power, so pray that they get it back soon. Thanks for all your help this weekend Mom! Mom helped with the shower this morning, kept Anna, and tonight are going to keep 4 kids so we can go to church to see Fireproof. I have the best parents in the world!

Playing with Poppy.

Rhonda, you inspired me that I need to let Anna eat on her own more. Here were the results!

Anna loves to play!

Rhonda, I thought I better let Anna eat on her own more. Anna did better with the spoon before I started videoing her. Then all she wanted to do was pick it up. Here is a video.

Lauren's Shower

Lauren is having a baby boy very soon, so we had a Sunday School shower at my house today. We can't wait to meet baby Joel in about a month!

Carrie, Lauren, and I

Doesn't Lauren look good to be nine months pregnant?

Shannon, I love the diaper cake!

Carrie leading the games.

Game time...the girls had to drop clothes pins into a jar from between their legs. Lauren was really good!

Another Haircut

I broke down today and had LeAnna trim Anna's hair again. It looks so much better! Thanks LeAnna! Nana and Poppy came to town today. They are still without power. Please pray for all the people in Kentucky who don't have power. Joe's parents haven't had power since Monday and they think it could still be 5-10 days before they get it fixed.

Finished product! Thanks LeAnna!

Not Me Monday

Okay, this is my first time with this...here it goes!

I DID NOT give Anna a bite size candy bar to hold on the way home from a baby shower today. Then on the way home, Anna DID NOT eventually squeeze the chocolate out of the candy bar, and say "YUM". No not ME! Especially since Anna NEVER gets chocolate from me or Joe. No NEVER!

Yesterday, I DID NOT put Anna in Carrie's bar chair to eat her lunch and then watch her in SLOW MOTION fall out of the chair. NO I WOULD NEVER DO THAT! But thankfully Carrie had quick hands and caught her!!! Thanks Carrie!

I also DID NOT not tell Joe about that! I would NEVER omit important information like that from her Daddy!

Here are pics from the incident that DID NOT happen!

Busy Week

Last week was very busy in the Whitley household. We had just started recovering from the busy weekend before when Joe found out at the last minute that he had to go out of town Wednesday. He went to Ohio, so Anna and I went with him and he dropped us off in Lexington to meet my dad. Anna and I spent the rest of the week with my parents and Joe joined us Friday. It was great spending time with my family last week. Here are pics from our week.

I tried piggy tails the other day. She hated them.

Andrea and Lydia came over to play last week on their snow day.

Signing "eat"

We met Unlce Cory for dinner Wednesday night!

On our way home Saturday night. Anna loves her bear!

Anna was promoted yesterday to the next class at church. It was a sad day for me. Joe and I worked in her class during church.

Merge and more

Joe and I had the amazing opportunity to be involved in Merge (19 churches getting together at CHBC to worship our Lord and Savior) this weekend. I had 12 HS girls and 4 leaders at my house this weekend. It was great hanging out with these girls, having Bible Studies, and getting to know them more. On Saturday, we made spaghetti for the homeless at Angelic Ministries. We took the food there, worshipped with them, and then the students served them. I was so proud of our students Saturday. Joe and I missed Anna, but had a great weekend. Anna went to Kentucky with my parents. I think they had a great time with her. Joe and I were glad to have her back home last night! Here are pics from the weekend.

I love seeing students raising their hands in worship to our Savior!

The High School girls.

Our students did a great job talking to the homeless during lunch!

Fixing the food.

Our students worshipping with the homeless.

Our sanctuary was filled Friday and Saturday night with 1,800+ high school and middle school students.

Anna and Poppy

Anna still loves to see herself in the mirror!

Glad our baby is home!

Anna is pretty good at using a fork. I help put the food on the fork and she puts it in her mouth by herself!

Jaxson invited us over for a playdate today!

Isn't this a sweet pic of Anna and Jaxson looking at the snow?

I'm not sure I am ready for car dates.

Anna liked the snow today. (Our van is in the background!)

New sippy cup...she hated it at first, but likes it now!
