Small Groups

Joe and I are small group leaders in our youth group. We took some time off after Anna was born, but we were able to go back to church last night. It was great getting back and seeing our students. Church was awesome last night. Three students were saved! God is so good and is working in our church. We love Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and are so thankful God brought us to this wonderful church! Anna and I went to school today because it was the 100th Day of school. I promised my students that we would come. It was great getting to see my students and my substitute today. Jennifer is doing a great job with my students. Thank you Jennifer for all you do for me.

I have really been working on getting Anna on a good schedule before I have to go back to school. This has been a very good week for Anna. She is taking good naps during the day and then sleeping much better at night. Last night she slept for 6 hours again! Hopefully this will start becoming a habit for her.

Anna usually sleeps propped up in her boppy, but we are going to try something new tonight. She likes being propped up, so Joe put two books under her matress to make her be propped up. We will let you know how this works.

Anna is One Month

Anna was one month old on Sunday. Time has just flown by the last month. Anna is doing great! She is eating like crazy and sleeping for 5 hours pretty consistently at night. Joe and I are having so much fun with her.

We're Home!

Anna and I had a great time at Nana and Papa's house, but we were glad to be home. I think Daddy is also glad we are home.

Anna's First Trip to Kentucky

Anna and I came to Kentucky Tuesday night after her doctor's appointment. Anna just had a normal check-up this time. She weighed 9 lbs. 9 oz. and was 22 inches long. The doctor said she looked great! After her appointment, we headed to Kentucky. Anna slept the entire trip! Yesterday, Anna visited with Ma, Abbie, Tristan, Vicki, Cory, and Laura. She enjoyed seeing everyone, but was very tired last night. She slept for 6 hours and 15 minutes at one time! I couldn't believe it. Today we have stayed inside all day because it is so cold. Tonight Anna will get to see my collage roommates. We are heading back to Knoxville tomorrow so we can see Daddy. We miss you Daddy and can't wait to see you! Thanks for letting us come for a few days. Sorry there are no pictures. Mom and Dad's Internet is not very good and it wouldn't let me upload any pictures. We will post lots of pictures on Saturday.

Our Cutie

Anna has a fussy period in the evenings where she doesn't want to be held, she just wants to cry for a while in her bed. Joe and I have tried everything to get her to stop fussing. The only solution we have come up with is to put her in her bed and let her cry it out. It's like she needs that time to just cry. We are OK with it because she has been sleeping really well at night. Last night, I woke up after it had been 5 hours and 20 minutes. I went in and woke her so I could feed her. Then she went another 4 hours to her next feeding. It is great getting to sleep longer at night!

Daddy is a great help when he comes home. Thanks Daddy for changing Anna!

Visit with Jack and Jake

Anna and I went to Jack and Jake's this morning. Today was the first time they seemed jealous when Fran was holding Anna. Actually, only Jack was jealous. They love to hold her and talk to her.

Our Weekend

We have had a great weekend. Anna and I like it when Daddy is home and not at work. We didn't do much this weekend besides relax. Josh and Lauren came over Saturday night for dinner and cards. Today we went to church and out to lunch.
