18 Months

I know I say it alot, but time sure does fly by. The past 18 months have been so much fun for Joe and myself. God has taught us so much about being parents. It has been amazing to see Anna grow and develop into a sweet toddler. Anna goes for her 18 month check-up on July 6th. I will update after that visit on her stats. I am glad that we are going to this doctors appointment with a child that can walk! Anna is learning and saying new words each day. I cannot begin to write down all the words Anna knows and says on a daily basis. She is also talking in phrases alot now. There are many times that I have to interpret for everyone else around us what she is saying. There are other times I don't know what she is saying either. She is also recognizing some colors: purple and green. We are working on the others. Anna loves to swim and be outside, which makes Mommy happy! She loves playing with other children and also sleeping. She still sleeps 12 hours at night and takes two 1 1/2 - 2 hour naps each day! I think she kind of understands that Mommy is going to have a baby. We are excited to see how she reacts when baby Ella gets here.

I can't believe this is what my baby looked like 18 months ago today.

We went shopping today and Nana bought Anna a new Elmo book that came with a cell phone. Anna loves it!

Home Sweet Home!!!

I went to youth camp this past weekend/week and came home to my sweet baby, husband, and in-laws on Tuesday. This was the longest I have been away from Anna, but we all made it. Anna had so much fun playing with Daddy, Ma, and Pa while Mommy was gone. When I got home Tuesday, I came into the playroom quietly and waited for Anna to notice me. When she turned around, she smiled, put her arms out, and ran over to me. My heart sunk as I hugged my baby. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for taking such good care of Anna and Joe this weekend.

Camp was amazing! It was awesome seeing 4,000 plus students WORSHIP our Savior!

Anna's new shades!

My best friend Krista, her mom, and two grandmothers came to visit last night and today. It was great getting to see them!

Esther concentrating on bowling. I don't think I have ever laughed as hard as I did the other night when we played Wii with Joe's parents.

Anna had a much needed haircut Tuesday. LeAnna cut about an inch off the back because it was looking like a mullet.

LeAnna curled Anna's hair for the first time. Isn't it cute?

Crazy Week

We are heading into our last night of VBS! VBS has been great, but I have really missed Joe and Anna each night. Joe on the other hand has enjoyed this week. He has had Anna all to himself each night. He has given her a bath, played, and put her to bed each night. He doesn't get much alone time with Anna, so he has had so much fun this week. Each night when I get home from VBS, he tells me everything Anna has done that night. I am so glad he has gotten to do this. I am sad though because I leave for youth camp tomorrow and won't be back until Tuesday. Joe's parents are coming to help out!

Anna loves going to the Beach at Court South. It is a great pool for any age kid, even adults!

Fun in the sun! Rhonda and I loaded up our kids and teenagers and headed to New Harvest Park Tuesday.

Trip to Kentucky

Anna and I went to KY last week to wait for baby Dane to be born. We had a great time visiting with my family and meeting Dane for the first time.

Ready for church Sunday night.

Anna's new favorite thing to do...Mow with Poppa! When they would get back, she would sign "more" and Poppa would take her for another ride.

We spent alot of time on Nana and Poppa's deck. Here is Anna rocking with Nana.

Can you tell she missed her Daddy?

There is a Beef Festival in Harrodsburg each year. We met Ma and Aunt Janet there for breakfast Saturday. Anna and Daddy decided to jump. She loved it!
