Playtime

Anna loves to play now. She will grab at her toys and really focus on them now. It is fun to watch her play.

Anna has a bear that sits in the corner of her bed. Apparently during her nap, she pulled her bear up next to her and cuddled with it the rest of her nap. This is what she looked like when I went in to get her up.

Anna and Daddy before work yesterday. Anna and I like it when Daddy doesn't go to the gym because we get to see him a while before he goes to work. Thanks Daddy for helping with Anna in the mornings.

I love Anna in hats!

Playdate with Jaxson

Anna had another playdate with Jaxson yesterday. We went to try out his exersaucer. Joe, Anna told me she wants her daddy to put it together this weekend!

Anna enjoying Jaxson's toy.

Anna likes her tummy better than Jaxson. It was funny watching them.

I think Jaxson was trying to hold Anna's hand.

Taylor, my student from last year came over today.

She was a great helper with Anna.

5 months

Anna is 5 months old today. Time has just flown by the last 5 months. Today was my first day home with Anna as a stay at home mommy! It was great getting to be with her all day. We started Anna on cereal yesterday. She seemed to like it. Joe took lots of pictures yesterday, but I left my camera at my grandmother's house. So I will have to use my old camera that takes about 5 minutes to take one picture. I am so sad that I won't have my camera all week. I will try to catch up from the weekend as soon as I can. Here are a few pictures from her five month birthday.

Anna sat in her high chair to eat her cereal today. She is not quite ready for her high chair yet. I had to put a blanket beside her to prop her up.

Ready for a nap.

Fun at Nana and Poppy's

Anna stayed with Nana and Poppy this weekend while Joe and I went to Cincinnati for our anniversary. We had a great weekend, but we really missed Anna. Thanks Mom and Dad for keeping Anna. While we were gone, we went to King's Island. Joe and I love to ride rollar coasters! They have a great water park too, but it was only 73 degrees Saturday. We decided that we would get on the lazy river to relax, but we did not want to get very wet because it was cool. Well, that did not work very well. We were in a double tube and could not avoid the mushroom of water. We were absolutely soaked by the time we were finished with the lazy river. Saturday night we went to the Cheesecake Factory! The food and cheesecake were awesome! Sunday, we went to Joe's grandparents who live about an hour from Cincinnati. This was my first trip to the farm. We had a great time visiting with everyone. Nathan, Vicki, Emma, and Jack met us so we could follow them to the farm.

My mom and dad take alot of pictures. Here are a few from their weekend. I think they had fun with Anna. I am going to get Fran to show me how to do a slideshow this week because I have so many pictures to post.

Beach Baby

Anna wore one of her beach outfits today. She received this outfit from 3 different people, so her friends Elizabeth and McKinley have the same outfit.

Thanks Aunt Laura for the cool shoes! They stayed on really well.

Bow Time

OK, Rhonda, Fran, and everyone else who has been trying to get me to put a bow in Anna's hair, tonight was the night. I put this cute yellow dress on Anna for church tonight and I found a cute red bow that I think Aunt Fran clipped to it to give me a hint. I decided to try it in her hair, and I loved it. Here are a few pictures from church tonight.
Okay, I am now convinced that bows do look cute!

Mommy's Last Week of School!!!!!

This is my last week of school! I am so excited about staying home with Anna all the time! I have been busy lately, trying to pack up my classroom and get ready for our Anniversary trip this weekend. Joe and I are leaving Friday for our annual anniversary trip. This year we are headed to Kings Island in Cinci, OH. We are going to drop Anna off at my mom and dad's house and then head up there for the weekend. I took Anna to the doctor yesterday because she coughed and her nose ran all day. They said it was viral and it had to run its course. She doesn't act like she feels bad, she just sounds bad. This cold has not affected her sleep though. She has been sleeping 11-11 1/2 hours at night!

Sweet smile...

Anna is becoming affectionate. She will kiss me now. I love it!

Does she look like she is ready to crawl?

Anna played with Nana and Poppy all weekend.

Poppy put Anna's toy together. Thanks Aunt Laura and Uncle Cory.

So alert

Anna was a little Dallas Cowboy yesterday. Thanks Uncle Jason!

I didn't know Anna could lay on the stool. I guess Nana and Poppy did this yesterday.

Anna's new thing is to chew on her bottom lip.

She does it all the time.

Full Day for Mommy

This has been a very busy Saturday for me. I started the day early at Kristi's for a yard-sale. This was my first yard-sale and I was very pleased with the outcome. On Christmas Day, two days before Anna arrived, Joe and I cleaned out our closet and drawers. I wanted to get rid of the clothes that I hadn't worn in years. I bagged everything up and saved it for a future yard-sale. Today, we sold alot of those clothes! After the yard-sale, I headed home to prepare for my 10 first graders and their parents. They came over at 3:00 this afternoon for an end of the year party. Thank goodness my mom was here. She also had a busy day. She took care of Anna and made food for the party! Thanks Mom!!!! Anna came out to the party for a while. She acted fine all day, but tonight we took her temp. again to find that it had gone back up. Now she is sound asleep, hopefully for the night. Here are some pictures from the party.

You couldn't tell Anna had a fever.

First Fever

My mom kept Anna, Jack, and Jake today while Fran and Kristi did a yard-sale and I was at school. When I got to Fran's to pick them up, Anna felt warm. When we got home, we took her temperature. Her temperature was 101.9, so we gave her a cool bath and Tylenol. She is taking a nap now. Hopefully her temp. will be down after her nap. She didn't really act like she felt bad though. Here are some pictures Mom and Dad took yesterday.
