Bath Time

Anna has been having sponge baths for the past 8 weeks, but tonight we decided to give her a real bath. She absolutely loved it. She just cooed and smiled the entire time. I have a video of Anna, but I can't figure out how to get it on the blog. Fran is going to have to give me another lesson. The shots didn't seem to bother or affect Anna. She had another great night last night and Fran said she was good for her today. I think Anna and Fran played dress up. The pictures are on Fran's camera, so I will update you with those pictures later. Nana and Poppy came in today because Fran has two closings tomorrow. Joe and I get to go on a date tomorrow night!

2 Month Check-Up

Anna is two months old today and she went to the doctor for a check-up and three shots. She weighs 11 lbs. 8 oz. and is 23 in. long. She is in the 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. The doctor said she looks great! We are so thankful and praise God everyday for our healthy baby. Anna did great with her shots. It was time to feed her, so eating really calmed her down after the shots.

Leeanne watches Anna on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She also watchesn Lydia. I think Lydia likes Anna.

Day at Aunt Fran's

Today was Anna's first day at Aunt Fran's. Fran is going to keep Anna three days a week while I am teaching. I think they had a good day, from what Fran told me. Thank you Fran for keeing Anna. I know she had a good time with you and the boys. Anna is doing great. I think she knew Mommy was tired last week from working, so she has decided she is ready to sleep all night. Last night I fed her at 9:00 and then put her down. I woke up at 5:00 this morning and couldn't believe Anna was sitll asleep. She finally woke up at 6:05. I was so happy and I had felt so good all day because of the extra, continuous sleep!!

Fran brought a boppy to church yesterday so I could take it to Leeanne's. When we got there, Jake patted the boppy and said "Anna". It was so cute.

Sleep

Last night, Anna slept all night!!!! I was so excited. I fed her at 9:15 and then not unitl 5:45 this morning. She fussed just a little around 3:00 a.m., but then went back to sleep. After I fed her this morning, she went back to sleep for 2 more hours. I feel like I slept forever this morning. We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend as a family.

Anna was so tired the other night. She could barely keep her eyes open.

Nana and Poppy have been keeping Anna this week while I have been at school. They have been great help with Anna, cooking meals, cleaning, doing laundry, and taking LOTS of pictures of Anna. Thanks for all your help! I have had a great week back at school, but I have really missed Anna.

Mommy's First Day back to Work

Today was my first day back to school. It was hard leaving Anna this morning, but Mom and Dad brought her to see me at lunch. That helped me get through the day. All the teachers were great and gave me cute presents. Thanks to everyone for making my first day back better than I thought. It was great getting home and seeing Anna! We can't wait for Daddy to get home!

Cutting Anna's finger nails is a scary job. I cut her one time and cried because she started bleeding. Today was a little easier.

A Day of Relaxing

Today was my last day before I have to go back to work. We had a great time at home relaxing with each other. Nana and Poppy are here to babysit while I am at school.

You Know You're a Mommy When You...

Go to the mall with poop all over your jeans. Yes, I went to the mall today with poop all over my jeans. This morning Anna and I went to church so I could work in my room to prepare for my first day back to school on Monday. I am sad about leaving Anna, but I know I need to go back. Anyway, I went to Chuck's office to feed Anna. I needed to change her diaper, so I layed her down on a chair. I looked in her wipe holder and realized I only had one wipe left. I said to Anna, "I hope you haven't pooped." And she hadn't!!! So I changed her diaper and was putting the new one on. Before I could get it closed, poop sprayed out like an explosion all over me, Anna, the chair, and the carpet. I didn't know what to do. Finally, 45 minutes later, I had most of the mess cleaned up. Now you are probably asking why I went to the mall with poop on my jeans. Well, I definately did not want to go to the mall now, but I had to. Yesterday I looked at my driver's license and realized that it had expired on my birthday (over a month ago). So I had to go to the court house which is located in our mall to get my license renewed. I was afraid they closed at noon, so I didn't have time to go home.

We have had a great day today. Joe met us at the mall and we had lunch. Then we went and bought fish for his aquarium. When we got home, we went for a stroll and then washed our cars. I LOVE being outside when it is nice out! Anna has slept most of the day. She loves to take naps in her carseat. Hopefully she will sleep tonight.
This morning, I decided to do a photo shoot with Anna. I thought pictures of her in her diaper would be cute.
