In Babywise 2, the author discusses playpen time. During playpen time, the baby is supposed to play by themselves for a certain period of time. We started that this week, hoping Anna would get use to it before she starts crawling. She has done really well with it so far this week. We started with 15 minutes and have worked our way to 25 minutes the last two days. Anna has always played great by herself, we just wanted to make sure she could do playpen time before she started crawling. If you are a mommy of a 5-6 month old, I would recommend this time with your child. It teaches them how to play on their own and not need mommy in the room at ALL TIMES!

Laura, I know I post pictures of this toy alot, but Anna absolutely LOVES it. Now she screams at it while she is playing.

Playpen time preserved my sanity! And you can use it until they learn to crawl out or about 2.5 years give or take.
